Greenfield International School Application Process

Greenfield International School is an International Baccalaureate World School authorised to offer all four IB
programmes for students from 2 year old (Green Shoots) to 18 years old (Grade 12).

Applying to Greenfield International School is a simple three-step process.

Step One

Please complete our Online Application Form. All applications are digital. We have no paper applications.

Once we are in receipt of your online application, you will receive an email sent to the email address you have entered on the application. This email will direct you to Step Two.

Step Two

The email from Greenfield International School will provide a list of required documents and how to contact our Admissions Team to make an appointment for assessment and payment of a one-time non-refundable and non-transferable Application Fee.

All students applying to Greenfield International School are required to be assessed, regardless of age, grade, school or country they are from.

  • One recent passport-sized photo of the child/children.

  • One copy of the child’s/children’s passport and residence visa (residence visa to be submitted as soon as available).

  • visas (residence visa to be submitted as soon as available).

  • One copy of each side of the child’s/children’s and parents’/guardians’ Emirates ID (to be submitted as soon as available).

  • Recent medical record and copy of child’s/children’s vaccination card.

  • Copy of most recent school report (eg most recent report card), on school’s letterhead, signed and stamped.

  • Copy of any diagnostic testing or educational assessment (if applicable).

  • Any psychological assessments (if applicable).

  • AED 525 (non-refundable) Application Fee, for new students only, including 5% VAT added as per government regulations. A placement assessment will not be undertaken until the application fee is received.

Step Three

We will contact you with a date for your child’s placement assessment, which will be administered by the Admissions Office and Greenfield International School faculty. After assessment and upon receiving an acceptance letter, a deposit fee is required to reserve your seat. A seat cannot be held until the deposit payment is received. We will advise of the amount in the acceptance letter.

Acceptance to Greenfield International School is contingent upon the results of the placement assessment, student interview and former school reports.

Providing for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (Students of Determination)

As an inclusive school, we treat all applications equally, admitting students with a range of SEND. Admission applications from students with SEND should include as much supporting evidence as possible and will be reviewed in partnership with Senior Leaders and the school’s Inclusion Champion to understand how to meet the needs of the child.

Admissions

  • Once a seat is offered, A non-refundable tuition deposit/registration fee of AED 4,000 – only for new students, payable within 5 days of receiving the acceptance letter.

  • Will not be conditional upon the submission of a medical diagnosis.

  • Will not be refused based only on the student’s experience of SEND.

  • Students who experience SEND will be guaranteed the right to receive a quality education.

  • Students who experience SEND will be actively supported to participate in the process of learning as they develop their potential and build relationships with their peers through social interactions in age-appropriate common learning environments.

KHDA Contract

KHDA PARENT CONTRACT

Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) mandate that each student in Dubai needs to have their KHDA Parent-School Contract signed.

The KHDA Parent School Contracts for 2023/24 have now been published and must be signed BEFORE your child joins the school.

The Process

KHDA PARENT CONTRACT

The process for signing the KHDA Parent-School contract (PSC) is as follows:

Download the KHDA App by visiting either Apple Store or Google Play Store.

Register as a new parent. Enter your Emirates ID or mobile number and click ‘get password;’ a one-time password will be sent to you both by SMS and email (the ones used to register your child last year – please check that you are using the correct parent’s details)

Choose your own new password when prompted; write this down in a secure place so that you have it for future occasions.

Once you are logged in, you will be able to see your child/children on the home screen. Select your child and follow the on-screen instructions to sign the contract.

If you have more than one child, you will need to sign the KHDA Parent School Contract for each child.

Please note the following Key Dates:

28th August – deadline for payment of the first term fees
28th August – the first day of school for ALL students.

Transfer Certificate

As a requirement by the United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Education and for us to be able to register your child legally with the Ministry/KHDA, it is mandatory that we receive a Transfer Certificate (TC) from your child’s current school. Registration at any school in Dubai without a TC is not possible

All children entering Grade 2 and upwards at Greenfield International School must provide a Transfer Certificate, regardless of the country and educational curriculum they are coming from.

All children coming from a licensed school in Dubai OR a school outside of Dubai into Year 1 must provide an online Transfer Certificate. Our Admissions Team will be happy to assist with this.
