Arabic

At GIS we teach Arabic in accordance with the requirements of the KHDA and the Ministry of Education combined with the standards and requirements of the IB curriculum. Based on the requirements of KHDA and the Ministry of Education, Arabic lessons are compulsory. Both Primary and secondary students have Arabic lessons three times a week.

The students attend either Arabic A or Arabic B classes depending on whether they learn Arabic as a native or foreign language. Arabic A is taught from Pre-K to Grade 12 and Arabic B - from Pre-K through Grade 9. In Secondary school, non-Arab students may select Arabic as part of the regular curriculum for Grades 10, 11 and 12.
