House System

Overview

At Greenfield International School, we value our community and aim to ensure all individuals feel included. Our whole-school House system was a student-led initiative whereby students and staff are placed in one of five houses (Amazon, Everest, Nile, Pacific and Sahara) and remain in them throughout their time at GIS.

The House System enhances students’ sense of belonging and allows them to immerse themselves into our school community.

House Events and House Points

We recognise that success comes in many ways. Our regular House Competitions include sporting, artistic, community- based and academic competitions. Previous house events included Best Business Plan, Sports Day, Best Painting, Football and Science Experiments.

Students can also collect house points through Learner Profile Merits, which they can earn daily during lessons, and through organised house competitions.

As the year progresses, house points accumulate and are added up to determine the winning house at the end of the school year. House points are being updated weekly and are displayed on our House events page on Schoolbox.
